Meaning:
Sanjaya said ,
Having told thus, in the war-field, Arjuna whose mind was filled
with anxiety, sat on the chair in his chariot, dropping his bow and arrow.
Significance:
This verse should be the answer for Dhritharashtra ‘s curiosity
to know what happened next. Arjuna , who succumbed to the attachments, has now
dropped his weapons and sat in his chariot. This is totally an unexpected
behaviour from such a valourous person.
Arjuna did not know how to react to this situation. For him ,
now Lord Krishna shows the right path with his words in the upcoming chapters.
