Significance:
Lord Krishna here is addressed as Madhusudhana, the slayer of demon
Madhu , as an indication that he slays down the fear and attachment of Arjuna .Arjuna
here has broke down in all three levels – physical , mental and intellectual. A
soldier can feel emotion, but he should not become emotional. A soldier should
not lose hope at any point of time. A soldier should be high in energy. But here,
Arjuna is overwhelmed by emotions, he has lost hope and is morally very low.
Lord Krishna starts speaking to Arjuna here and makes him fit to fight again by
the end of Bhagavad-Gita.
